Private Tanzania Safaris · Based in Arusha
Private safaris through Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and beyond, designed around your dates, your pace and the Tanzania you came all this way to see.
The difference
No strangers sharing your vehicle. No rigid group schedule.
Your guide, your route and enough freedom to stay five more minutes when something extraordinary happens. The safari runs on your morning, not on a departure list. The people planning it are the people operating it, here in Tanzania.
01
The vehicle belongs to your party for the safari. Window seats for everyone, every day.
02
Your journey is planned and operated from Arusha, at the edge of the parks you came to see.
03
You see what a safari costs, what it includes and what it does not, before you arrive.
04
Dates, accommodation level and pace adjust to your trip, not the other way around.

Your vehicle.
Your guide.
Your pace.
Stay when the lions begin to move. Leave when you are ready. This is not somebody else’s schedule.
The collection
Each one runs privately, on your dates. Prices start from two travellers sharing, and every itinerary can be rebuilt around what you actually want.

Lake Manyara, on foot, with a guide who grew up on this escarpment. The flamingos keep their distance. Nobody hurries them, and nobody hurries you.
Where you sleep
Real camps we book, photographed as they are, run by Karibu Camps and Lodges. Which one you get depends on your dates and your group, so the property is named in writing with your quote rather than promised here.

The people
Your safari does not disappear into a booking platform. It is planned and operated by people here in Tanzania: the same people who answer your messages, meet you at the airport and drive you into the parks.
Most of the reviews on our Tripadvisor listing name the same guide. Julius has taken travellers through the northern parks and up Kilimanjaro by the Machame route, and the thing people write about afterwards is not the animals. It is that he kept looking.
The landscape may be enormous. Your safari is still deeply personal.

The perfect safari
Honestly a perfect experience. Julius is the kindest most knowledgable guide we could have hoped for. The whole experience was absolutely perfect. He worked so hard to find amazing animal experiences throughout the day as well as providing amazing information about the surroundings and the animals.
Also getting to know him over the past few days gave us a deeper knowledge of Tanzania as a country which was beautiful to learn about.
Thank you so much Julius, you were the perfect guide.

The best, most fun and very professional safari!!
We had the most beautiful safari and the best time with Julius! Julius has so much knowledge about the national parks and the wildlife within the parks. We have seen the big 5, the great migration and sooo many more animals (even a python, baby cheetah a…

04
Incredible trip to Mount Kilimanjaro!
We have gotten the contact to Julius from a friend, who highly recommended him us, and after our experience, we can only agree with that friend. We did a 6 day tour to Mount Kilimanjaro over the Machame Route, and it is surely also thanks to the s…
How it works
01
Dates, travellers, interests and roughly what you want to spend.
02
You get an itinerary and an accommodation combination with prices attached.
03
Change the pace, the lodges or the destinations until it feels right.
04
Your guide and the ground team handle the journey from there.
Before you ask
Yes. Every safari on this site is private by default: your party, your vehicle, your guide. You are not added to a group and there is no shared departure schedule.
Yes. Days can be added or removed, accommodation moved between mid-range and luxury, and destinations swapped. Most travellers start from one of the journeys here and change two or three things.
Each journey page lists its inclusions and exclusions in full: park and crater fees, private 4x4 with pop-up roof, driver-guide, accommodation and meals as stated, drinking water in the vehicle. International flights, visas, tips and personal items sit outside the price.
Final inclusion list to be confirmed by Trackless Wild
Yes. Arrival and departure transfers from Kilimanjaro International or Arusha Airport are arranged as part of the itinerary. Send your flight numbers once they are booked.
Yes, and it is one of the most popular shapes of trip: the northern parks first, then a short flight to the coast. The 7-day Safari & Zanzibar journey is built exactly this way, and any other itinerary can be extended to the islands.
For June to October and the Christmas and New Year period, the good camps inside the parks are usually taken several months ahead. Outside those windows there is more room to move, and short-notice trips are often still possible.
Yes. A private vehicle suits families particularly well. You set the driving hours around children, stop when you need to, and return to camp when everyone has had enough sun.
A person in Arusha reads your message and replies with a few questions: dates, how many of you, the level of accommodation you have in mind. From there you get a draft itinerary with prices, and it is edited until it is right. Nothing is charged while you are still deciding.
